The Bible in one hand and Money in the other.

Check out our New YouTube Channel Called: GROWING MATURE

The Bible and Money.

Does Money have the Power to Take God’s Place?   Money has the power to take God’s place in your life.  It can become your master.  How can you tell if you are a “slave” to money?  First, do you think and worry about it frequently?  Secondly, do you give up doing what you should do or would like to do to make more money?  Thirdly, do you spend a great deal of time caring for your possessions?  Fourthly, is it hard for you to give money away?  Fifthly, are you in debt?  Realize money is a hard “master” and a “deceptive one.”  While wealth promises “power” and “control,” often it cannot deliver.

You know great fortunes can be made and lost overnight, and no amount of money can provide “health,” “happiness,” or “eternal” life.  I realized for me that it is much better to let God be my Master.  His “servants” have “peace of mind” and “security,” both now and forever.

The Bible in one hand and Money in the other!!

Final Note:  In the Bible in the book of 1 Timothy 5:7-17 – “For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.  But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.  People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.  For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.  Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.  In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.”
